Extend Financial is an innovative tech-driven mortgage lending company located in Toronto.

We are filling a new role for a manager of customer service and special accounts.

You'll be a resourceful and self-directed leader of a small but fierce mortgage administration team of 7 (you'll be #8) working on post-funding aspects of our mortgages from setup to billing and payments to enforcement support to discharges. Duties will include daily contact with borrowers, their brokers, and their lawyers. There will be lots of interactive inbound work which is supported by a robust and evolving automation backbone.

There will also be a lot of change. A day, a week, a month will have duties that vary and priorities that will shift. As our tech develops to eliminate problems, new stuff will land on our plate. We need you to be able to manage a variable workload. Our team members will be able to talk about this with you before you join us.

This is not a mortgage sales role. No license is required.

You will have worked in a similar role already for at least three to five years, with other comparable experience in this industry or a similar one. You will know the lingo - mortgage jargon and terminology are already yours. You will have excellent Excel and MS Office skills. You will have strong and demonstrable bookkeeping experience in an accrual accounting environment. Your work is accurate and you are a problem solver. Your resume should tell us about your customer service, default management, and small team management experience.

There will be occasional calls where there is an aggravated borrower on the other end of the phone. You'll need to have the experience and gravitas to bring the level down and solve the problem. You will be "the manager" that they ask to speak with.

You will be comfortable working remotely and we would want you to be ok to work the occasional extra hour when deadlines demand.

This is mostly a work from home role with frequent online meetings. We have a lovely office and we'd love to have you join us there, but we are looking for the right person vs the right place.

As occasional in person work may be required, our search will focus on applications from candidates who are based in and are able to work in southeastern and Central Ontario.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
