Fixed-Term Contract
Job Purpose:
The Manager, Middle Office, Global Credit is a deeply integrated role, with a direct reporting line into the Director, Middle Office Operations and a dotted line into the Managing Director, Head of Global Credit. This collaborative role works in close partnership with the Global Credit Investment Team, where the incumbent will be accountable for partnering with direct investment teams and internal partners to ensure that credit investment transactions and portfolio management activities are supported and accurately reflected in performance, risk and technology systems and investment reporting. The incumbent will lean in with excellent influencing skills, providing guidance and expertise to multiple stakeholders along the investment lifecycle, ensuring that information inputs and outputs align with expected parameters.
As a Member of Our Team, Your Responsibilities Will Include:With deep understanding of the credit investment lifecycle, this role leads the support of advanced transaction management, performance reporting and risk management for the Global Credit team. Partnering with Finance and Performance, Investments Risk and other IMCO teams, provide leadership and guidance in the management of complex activities that support Global Credit, ensuring the accuracy of data and reporting align with expected outcomes. Partner closely with Global Credit Portfolio Managers to identify investment outcomes and understand non-investment activities' impact on accounting, performance and reporting. Act as an integral member of quarterly reporting cycle, ensuring discrepancies are identified, reviewed and resolved in a timely manner Work with Investment Risk to ensure investments inputs are captured and monitored to agreed upon standards. Represent the team and/or lead various initiatives, both firm wide and team specific, including system upgrades/implementations, new product activity and onboarding and ad-hoc management requests. Compile and maintain a useful suite of metrics/KPIs to track operational trends, identify efficiency opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. Maintain an ongoing effective working relationship with internal investment staff and external asset managers to ensure issues are discussed and resolved, financial controls and reporting requirements are met. Develop and maintain effective communication linkages and working relationships across the organization as it pertains to Global Credit, and strategic partners to identify needs, discuss and resolve issues, and exchange information of mutual concern. Proactively plan, track and monitor portfolio budget and risks in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Advise management of potential risks and impact with regards to projects, where they may not have knowledge/ awareness, and provide recommendations where needed. Ensure risk management, quality management and continuous improvement systems are established to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and cost benefit of the portfolio of projects and programs. Leveraging experience in the credit investment lifecycle, this role will proactively document processes, best practices, and lessons learned in accessible formats to support team learning and continuity. Actively mentor colleagues by sharing technical knowledge, offering guidance, and supporting onboarding and upskilling efforts. Lead or contribute to regular knowledge-sharing meetings/conversations to disseminate insights and innovations. Ensure internal knowledge bases, or documentation platforms are regularly updated and organized for easy access by team members. Encourage open communication and collaboration by modeling curiosity, continuous learning, and the exchange of ideas across teams. Able to work independently, sourcing multiple data sets to generate portfolio insights. Ability to leverage tools to automate reconciliation processes.

What do you need to succeed?Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent Minimum 10 years of related work experience (e.g., Finance, Consulting, Credit, Private Equity, Accounting Firm etc.) Experience in financial industry, specifically within capital markets and/or asset management industry desired Deep knowledge of lifecycle of credit investing, preferably within Middle Office and/or Back Office experience and ideally exposure to public and private credit activities Professional designations such as a CBV, CFA, CPA are considered an asset. Strong analytical, financial and management accounting skills will be necessary to perform this role. Proven ability to facilitate partnering with business and technical leaders across organizations; Ability to engage with senior executives with tact to ensure that they understand escalation items and action them Strong leadership and team-building skills; Leadership skills to resolve conflicting priorities, resource issues, dependencies and change requirements Excellent judgement; has a broad view and understanding of the business and environment in which IMCO operates Excellent communication (both written and verbal), facilitation and active listening skills Leverage deep understanding of unspoken agendas during discussions to navigate competing priorities and drive alignment and commitment Apply organizational savvy and business expertise to present and defend issues that have a direct and significant impact to the business Regarded as a realistic and practical individual, and is respected for ability to deliver Employ a spirit of 'get it done together' collaborating, sharing practices and ideas
