At Bausch Health, we invest in our employees and we believe in the importance of cultivating performance and outdoing ourselves in finding new and better solutions with the aim of responding innovatively and effectively to current needs.Position SummaryThe Medical Information Manager is primarily responsible for generating standard and customized medical information content to fulfill unsolicited Medical Information requests from both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and non-HCPs for Bausch Health (BH) Canada in Dermatology, ophthalmology & specialty (CV & Metabolics, Allergy) promoted & non promoted products. Additional responsibilities include: (1) training the call center, external business partners, and other BH Canada team members on Medical Information content & processes, (2) continuous monitoring of product trends to ensure appropriate content strategy and as well communication to the wider BH Canada organization (3) continuous improvement of Medical Information processes and deliverables, (4) ensure audit readiness at all times, including the call center audits (5) ad hoc project support as needed for globalization efforts in Medical Information.Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Generates Medical Information materials (e.g. scripted responses, Q&As, handling and administration guidelines, standard response letters, etc.)
  • Ensures the appropriate and timely review and approval of any generated materials in accordance with relevant SOPs and local laws/codes of practice.
  • Provides on-going training to call center agents and other relevant individuals on new or updated Medical Information content
  • Managing the 3rd Party Vendor responsible for Medical Information (call center)
  • Establish and continuously monitor enquiry trends and metrics and proactively identifies unmet content needs and communicates product trends to the Brand teams & to the VP Medical & Clinical Affairs
  • Ensure and support audit readiness for Medical Information at all times
  • Provides support to the wider BH Canada business and local affiliates with the handling of complex inquiries escalated by the call center and field-based personnel (MSLs and Sales representatives)
  • Regularly monitors the quality and accuracy of the Med Info responses provided by the call center and identifies necessary corrective actions or training required to ensure compliance with regional and local regulations as well as internally relevant SOPs
  • Be part of the Medical Leadership Team (MLT)
Qualifications
  • Advanced clinical and scientific training required
  • Direct scientific/clinical experience in the therapeutic areas desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Prior industry experience in the field of Medical Information
Education/Competency requirements
  • Education: PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent background
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in Medical Information
