We are a young, thriving company, located in Markham and we are seeking a culturally aligned and skilled Manager, Marketing Intelligence to join our team.The ideal Manager, Marketing Intelligence would be the eyes and ears of the company; providing forward-looking insights to marketing, sales and senior management, and the organization at large. This includes researching, analyzing, and understanding our customers, market, trends, channels, products, competitors and more.He/she would enjoy empowerment to impact change and would be inspired to contribute toward the greater vision of eliminating combustible cigarettes from the world. Strong business acumen, curiosity, research competency, and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset would lead to success in this role. Our managers are not afraid to get their hands dirty and will dive into solving problems and seizing opportunities with the team.If you are an innovative thinker who is passionate about researching, overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities that are constantly evolving, this is the ideal role for you!Furthermore, the Manager, Marketing Intelligence's responsibilities/accountabilities include: Work closely with the Director, Products and Marketing as well as other senior cross-department managers to uncover and communicate new market insights. Recommend ways to leverage opportunities based on emerging or imminent market trends. Research and report on market trends, conditions, regulations, products and customers to guide marketing and sales decision-making. Establish and cultivate relationships with key contacts from international manufacturers for advanced information gathering. Maintain global awareness of other countries to learn from their trends, successes and failures. Obtain and provide insights that guide entering new markets and categories, and new product launches Oversee competitive research, comparative analysis and threat assessment against PSI products. Conduct market research to provide market and customer insights. Utilize SWOT analysis to produce insightful analyses and presentations that highlight improvement opportunities. Consistently evaluate the performance and impact of Marketing and Sales strategies. Work cross-functionally with management from scopes such as brands, marketing, product development, sales and more. Conduct frequent market visits to learn about regional nuances both domestically and internationally. Develop, plan and execute on research and information gathering processes Maintain in-depth knowledge of any/all changes to industry regulations. Hire, train and manage the upcoming marketing intelligence department members (future)Other related responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned.Your experience and resume will show us: - Post-secondary education related field- Minimum of 4 years of total market research, market intelligence and/or related marketing economics experience, with at least 1 year in some form of management level or supervisory role- Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities- Proficient at processing complex data into simple views that summarize key insights-Has hired, trained, and mentored market intelligence team members- Strong presentation development and presentation skills- A high level of attention to detail- Ability to demonstrate brand language, tone, and voice- Strong passion for harm reduction (smoking)The Rewards: - Ongoing learning and development opportunities- Competitive Total Compensation Package- Group Benefits Program- Awards for top performers and employee tenureWork Remotely: - Our office is located in Markham, ON. Our team is currently working from home on a full-time basis.
