We\'re seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Data and Analytics that is a passionate data-oriented problem solver. You are relentless in unlocking marketing insights from complex and often disparate data sets, have a strong business background, and a customer first focus. In this role, you will report to the Director, Digital Performance Marketing and work closely with internal teams within Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Risk and Analytics. Your primary responsibility will be reporting and analyzing performance of our marketing channels (e.g., Google, Meta, organic digital, email, web, and other emerging digital channels) and key marketing segments. You will be leading a team (one direct report) that is laser focused on the performance and the impact of optimizations on our campaigns and promotions, continually providing recommendations to improve our marketing effectiveness. Core responsibilities also include leading our marketing data and analytics strategy and ensuring we\'re leveraging first and third-party data to drive profitability and new customer growth.

This is a hybrid that role requires onsite presence at our Mississauga office, with the option to work at our downtown Toronto office as well.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a measurement and reporting strategy that enables the organization to leverage actionable insights that optimize marketing channel and data performance
  • Lead a team that provides daily, weekly, monthly and post-campaign reports for internal stakeholders including managing ad hoc requests and maintaining data visualization and dashboarding tools
  • Run a marketing data and analytics function that services the Marketing team and the organization more broadly, providing stakeholders with support in their day-to-day duties including campaign insights and analytics to ensure key KPIs are being met
  • Develop and implement a multi-touch attribution strategy that allows us to understand marketing channel performance across the entire customer journey to ensure we\'re making the right investments to drive profitability and new customer growth
  • Oversee the implementation of Google Analytics 4 and Google Analytics 360 to ensure we have the right technology in-place to enhance our analytical capabilities and sophistication
  • Work closely with our BI and Risk and Analytics teams to identify opportunities and methods to leverage our first party data to better reach existing customers and identify valuable prospects
  • Develop and deliver on a marketing data and analytics technology roadmap to ensure we have the right platforms and vendors given our unique needs and business challenges
  • Continually lead the organization in the analysis of market trends, enabling us to capitalize on opportunities as the occur in real-time
  • Work directly with external partners - e.g., Google, Salesforce etc. - to ensure we\'re getting the most out of our investments, leveraging the \'multiplier effect\' that partners with scale can bring to our business
  • Build out forecasting models that clearly lay-out our digital growth metrics on an annual basis with the flexibility to make ongoing adjustments based on external (i.e., market demand, competition) and internal (i.e., budget, channel mix) factors
  • Manage a performance-oriented team of one subject matter expert that is able to distill complex data and information sets into straightforward and actionable insights at both the working group and executive level
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the marketing data and analytics field with a primary focus on digital
  • A post-secondary degree in data science, marketing analytics, commerce, or related field
  • Experience and deep understanding of digital media (e.g., programmatic, paid search, web, social etc.) and CRM data sets is a must
  • Demonstrated experience building out a multi-touch, cross-channel, attribution strategy to ensure we have the right channel mix, contributing to an overreaching media mix model
  • Proficient in data retrieval, structuring and visualization to ensure we can amalgamate disparate data sets into a cohesive view
  • Knowledge of and experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Analytics 360s and Advanced MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Understanding of Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Tableau and Salesforce CRM considered a valuable asset
  • The ability to surface and simply explain insights that have been derived from complex data sets
  • A deeply curious and critical thinker that is motivated by unanswered questions and the drive to solve them through creative and transparent methods
  • A self-starter that identifies opportunities where data and analytics help to solve real business problems
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and dynamic team environment, with a willingness to pivot as the needs of the business change and evolve.
  • Demonstrated ability to build out accurate and detailed forecasting models to ensure the team is meeting growth targets
  • Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
