CADTH is Canada\xe2\x80\x99s drug and health technology agency. We\xe2\x80\x99re a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Ottawa, with a satellite office in Toronto. We\xe2\x80\x99re funded by Canada\xe2\x80\x99s federal, provincial, and territorial governments to provide independent information and advice to the country\xe2\x80\x99s publicly funded health care systems. Health administrators and policy experts rely on CADTH to inform their decisions about the funding and appropriate use of the drugs, devices, and services used to prevent, diagnose, and treat medical conditions. Most of CADTH employees participate in a hybrid workspace arrangement that allows for flexibility and enhanced work-life balance. CADTH believes in the positive impact of in-person collaboration and the importance of team building. With that, CADTH gives preference to qualified candidates who live near our offices and can participate in a hybrid arrangement. We welcome individuals outside of these regions to apply as fully remote arrangements may be considered in certain circumstances. Primary Focus
The Manager, Marketing and Web is responsible for leading the modernization and management of CADTH\xe2\x80\x99s marketing campaigns and digital communications tools \xe2\x80\x93 including the corporate website, the staff intranet, social media platforms, and external email campaigns. On any given day, the Manager, Marketing and Web will:

  • Lead the marketing function at CADTH, including developing and implementing marketing initiatives that support and advance the CADTH Strategic Plan.
  • Establish and maintain CADTH\xe2\x80\x99s marketing and digital communication governance policies, procedures, and document management practices.
  • Collaborate and build trust with leaders and teams from across CADTH to align marketing activities with CADTH projects, programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage CADTH\xe2\x80\x99s digital advertising campaigns, including ad development, media buying and tracking, and deployment.
  • Oversee CADTH creative services, including brand management, design, production, printing, promotional items, liaising with the CADTH Publisher with respect to copy editing and translation.
  • Support the development and management of the marketing budget and ensure that initiatives are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Lead the modernization and transformation of the CADTH website including its information architecture, information design, and user experience; working closely with the Information Technology team as they manage the technical aspects of the website. Oversee the daily content publishing and updates to the website.
  • Oversee the continued evolution of the employee intranet, including implementing new features, functions, and publishing content.
  • Oversee the analytics of the website, social media accounts, email and advertising campaigns and intranet. Report on analytics and evolve marketing programs as required.
  • Lead and implement the social media and online community management strategy for the organization.
  • Manage CADTH\xe2\x80\x99s email communications campaigns, including developing an email calendar, managing distribution lists, and overseeing the deployment of campaigns.
Is this the right role for you?
The Manager, Marketing and Web will likely have:
  • Post secondary education in a relevant area such as marketing or business administration coupled with related progressive professional experience, ideally acquired within a management consulting firm, creative agency, or marketing department in a private or public organization.
  • In-depth understanding of Google Analytics and other digital communications analytics
  • Practical knowledge with Drupal 9, Office 365, and Mailchimp, and digital accessibility legislation
  • Prior experience leading a team that includes both related operational oversight and people management accountabilities
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to create and nurture long-term working relationships, with colleagues, customers and partners
  • Extensive experience in project management with the ability to execute on time and on budget
  • Exceptional writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • A self-starter with a positive can-do attitude
