PDCI is seeking a Manager, Market Access Insights to support the Strategic Consulting pillar at PDCI. The successful candidate will provide expert input on a variety of market access projects for externally facing client projects, and be a central member of the team responsible for building client relationships and communicating PDCI expertise and insights to an external audience.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Market Access and Policy Research, the Manager provides consulting expertise to clients and strategic support to the pillar and other PDCI Project teams, including researching and providing strategic insights into internal and client-facing projects and initiatives, and ensuring deliverables meet & exceed client expectations. Responsibilities include:

Market Access and Pricing Strategies: The Strategic Consulting Team collaborates across PDCI and with broader McKesson teams to devise and implement market access strategies for both new and existing clients. In this capacity, PDCI serves as a strategic partner for our clients supporting and advising on such matters as pricing, health technology assessment submissions strategy, payer negotiations and engagement, market forecasting and data insights, and policy guidance. The Manager will be required to:

Collaborate cross-functionally and conduct comprehensive research and analyses for PDCI\xe2\x80\x99s strategic market access and pricing assessments to generate insights and recommendations that will inform pharmaceutical launch strategies.

Lead and support other selected research and analysis components of client projects including health technology assessment, payer negotiation and advisory board deliverables.

Synthesize research and data, interpret, and advise on policies and trends affecting pricing and market access for biopharmaceuticals in Canada.

Advising clients and PDCI team members about trends and changes in the landscape as well as their implications for internal and external audiences. Applies understanding of the organizations, processes, policies and operations affecting the pharmaceutical market access and pricing in Canada in strategic advice.

Client Development and Engagement: The Manager will be expected to build and maintain strong client relationships as part of the Strategic Consulting Pillar within PDCI. This includes:

Knowing and understand PDCI\xe2\x80\x99s cross-functional business offerings for clients

Being able to advance and propose potential solutions for clients that reflect PDCI capabilities across our business.

Managing with other team members presentations, pitches and proposals for new business with clients, as a member of the PDCI Proposal Centre of Excellence (PCOE).

Developing and implementing strategies to promote the expertise of our company to current and potential clients.

Policy Writing, Research and Editorial Lead: The Manager will be expected to keep informed of policy trends and evolution in the Canadian market access landscape to contribute to knowledge transfer initiatives within PDCI and externally. This includes:

Managing strategic objectives, research, writing and development of all external communications (e.g. social media and client newsletter) and research publications (e.g. posters and abstracts, conference presentations, policy analyses, whitepapers and quarterly publication of the INSIGHTS journal).

Key Requirements (Experience, Qualifications, Skills, Attributes):

Undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific, business discipline (i.e. science, economics, business, journalism, communications, public policy), additional degrees/certifications an asset (e.g., Master\xe2\x80\x99s in sciences, economics, public/business administration).

4+ years of relevant experience (e.g., HTA or government agency, health care consultancy, pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization).

Superiority in English is essential for the position given external communications responsibilities. Fluency in French an asset.

Intermediate understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical pricing, market access and reimbursement landscape. This includes knowledge of pharmaceutical policy, health technology assessment procedures (e.g. CADTH & INESSSS), the price regulatory environment (PMPRB), public and private payer trends, negotiation (e.g. pCPA) and reimbursement processes, as well as the global environment.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to distill and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to balance multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.

Ability to work independently, conduct research and solve problems.

Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

A passion for pharmaceutical market access and policy \xe2\x80\x93 to improve access to innovative and specialized therapies.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$69,700 - $116,100
