The Manager, Manufacturing Facilities will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic and operational facility initiatives across all company locations globally. This includes overseeing construction and renovation projects, optimizing physical infrastructure and building systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and advancing sustainable and efficient facility practices that support organizational growth, operational reliability, and long-term asset performance. This position requires the ability to travel internationally approximately 25 to 30% of the time, with the potential for higher amounts during projects.


Key Responsibilities include:




Managing strategic and operational projects Leading facility projects relating to building systems, equipment, or physical infrastructure across all company facilities Reviewing and report on building systems, ancillary equipment and facility preparedness for mergers and acquisitions Working with Plant and Maintenance management to develop plans for building system or infrastructure upgrades including sustainable implementations Leading multi-functional teams in project initiatives including internal and external resources such as contractors and vendors. Work with project managers to support building system needs for manufacturing engineering projects Develop, track, and manage operating and capital budgets for facility-related expenditures. This includes negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance. Standardize building services and ancillary systems such as security, compressed air, fire protection, HVAC, back-up power, water conservation and metering Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards as well as organizational and local regulations Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in energy efficiency and sustainability Work through asset and maintenance systems management, which includes analyzing maintenance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime

Required Experience:




10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, construction, or infrastructure project management Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams. Global leadership experience in managing facility operations or capital projects across multiple countries or regions. Demonstrated success in capital project delivery, infrastructure optimization, and sustainability programs. Experience working with external regulatory and compliance agencies, landlords, and insurance representatives.

Strong knowledge of:




Building systems and physical infrastructure (HVAC, fire protection, security, utilities) Construction and renovation planning Maintenance and asset management systems Energy efficiency and sustainability practices

Proficiency in:




Project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) CAD or similar systems for layout and site plan management CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Budgeting, cost control, and vendor management practices

Other skills/experience

:


Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or completed MBA would also be desirable. PMP certificate, LEED Accreditation or Facilities Management certifications (e.g., IFMA's CFM or FMP) are considered an asset Strong leadership and team coordination skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across diverse regions Analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities Strategic thinker with hands-on project execution capability 25-30% potential travel, potentially higher with projects. The ability to travel internationally is required.
