Impact Martial Arts is a fast growing, values driven martial arts organization focused on building confident, disciplined, and respectful kids through structured Muay Thai training and life skills education. Our Niagara location is a flagship growth studio, and we are looking for a strong leader to own daily operations, team performance, and member experience.
This is not a desk job. This is a leadership role for someone who can coach, manage, and execute.
Role Overview
The Manager / Location Head Coach is fully responsible for the success of the Niagara location. This role combines
club management, team leadership, coaching excellence, and business performance ownership
.
You will lead from the front on the mats, at the front desk, and behind the scenes. You are accountable for staff performance, member experience, cleanliness, scheduling, retention, and profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
Oversee all day to day operations of the Niagara location
Ensure a professional, welcoming, and high energy environment for students, parents, and staff
Lead and enforce Impact Martial Arts systems, standards, and brand expectations
Act as the primary decision maker on site during operating hours
Communicate consistently with ownership on performance, challenges, and opportunities
Staff Management & Development
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop instructors and front desk staff
Schedule and supervise staff to ensure full coverage and smooth operations
Hold staff accountable to customer service, safety, and performance standards
Lead by example in attitude, punctuality, professionalism, and work ethic
Address employee issues promptly and escalate when necessary
Provide backup coverage when staff are absent
Coaching & Programming
Coach or instruct a minimum of 3 classes per week
Maintain high quality class delivery aligned with Impact curriculum
Support student progression, retention, and family engagement
Assist with testing, evaluations, and student milestones
Uphold safety standards on the mats at all times
Member Experience & Sales Support
Ensure every member and guest feels welcomed, supported, and valued
Support new member tours, trials, and sign ups when required
Resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently
Communicate promotions, events, and updates clearly to families
Support retention initiatives and community engagement efforts
Facility & Safety Oversight
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility daily
Oversee equipment condition and report maintenance needs promptly
Ensure all safety protocols are followed for staff and students
Lead and participate in regular cleaning and upkeep routines
Business Performance & Reporting
Track and report key performance metrics weekly and monthly
Support marketing promotions and ensure staff are trained on current offers
Monitor expenses, staffing efficiency, and operational effectiveness
Contribute directly to the profitability of the location
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in martial arts, fitness, or youth program leadership
Strong coaching background in Muay Thai, Kickboxing, or similar discipline
Experience managing staff in a service based environment
Confident communicator with strong leadership presence
High level of organization, accountability, and follow through
Comfortable with basic computer systems and CRM platforms
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
Must pass Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Must have First Aid & CPR Cert

$35 per hour base rate
15% of net profit bonus tied directly to location performance
