Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Director of Recruitment and Volunteer Services and working as part of the broader People Services team, the International Recruitment Manager provides leadership and coordination for Nova Scotia Healthxe2x80x99s province-wide recruitment and staffing efforts, with a specific focus on Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs).In this role, they are responsible for ensuring Nova Scotia Health meets its staffing requirements by attracting and hiring qualified candidates to support patient care. This includes leading a team of recruitment staff, offering guidance to ensure best practices are followed, and driving continuous improvement in recruitment processes.The International Recruitment Manager also participates in special project groups aimed at enhancing recruitment strategies for IENs. This involves consulting with internal clients and external stakeholders to assess workforce needs, developing targeted plans to address those needs, and ensuring performance aligns with KPIs for administrative efficiency and candidate quality.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in human resources, health, business, public administration, or a related field or a combination of education and 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in progressive positions involved in planning and delivering comprehensive human resource services and in delivering recruiting and staffing services within a complex, integrated service model, which is provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Significant management experience and knowledge of all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment and staffing.
  • Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge of recruitment, in the following areas: best practices to source and attract candidates, developing and placing recruitment advertising for optimal results, recent labor market trends for hard-to-fill positions, various collective agreement provisions relating to recruitment, provincial labor standards and human rights legislation related to hiring.
  • Significant knowledge of and management experience in developing and managing both programs and employees that support recruiting and staffing.
  • Knowledge of healthcare organizations and the health sector, especially related to Nursing would be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in using project management principles and techniques to successfully implement projects.
  • Experience working with a diversity of staff and stakeholders, and demonstrating cultural competency, diversity and social inclusion.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data, and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks related to the workforce to evaluate and improve recruiting and staffing initiatives.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset.
