Workplace Arrangements:
This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Johnstown Distribution Centre (1 Giant Tiger Boulevard) 3-4 days a week. On average the working hours are 8am-5pm with some flexibility required as the Distribution Centre is a 24/7 location.

What You'll Be DoingDeliver on aspects of the people plan(labour, process and tools) as assigned by the Head of HR Business Partnerships. Deliver, and maintain communication on HR systems, programs and processes that are in place to support functional areas HR needs and Gaps. Monitor and maintain compliance around HR policies/labour legislation and identify risks and actions to escalate to the Head of HR Business Partnerships as needed. Provide feedback from client to COEs and HR Ops to ensure programs and guiding principles meet the needs of the functional group(s). Manage and ensure there is coaching and counselling on employee relations and labour relations programs, policies and procedures that impact your functional group(s). Build business relationships as a trusted and proactive HR Partner to drive employee engagement. Develop HR Specific content as the Subject Matter Expert.

What You'll BringUniversity or college degree in business, HR or a related field; or equivalent experience 5+ years experience in an HR role, with relevant experience in investigations 5+ years of people management experience Ability to inspire, motivate and develop team members at all levels Ability to communicate/build relationships with various team stake holders across functional departments In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written presentation skills Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Effective impacting, critical thinking and influencing skills Experience working with an in HRIS platform - Workday is an asset Acts with the highest professional standards of personal and professional integrity

Assets You May HaveHR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completed Bilingualism English and French Experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment

Travel RequirementsOccasional local travel required. The successful candidate will travel to our Moncton Hub and our Brantford Facility on a quarterly basis, and our Brockville facility once every two weeks.
