We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to provide Human Resources expertise and services in all HR functional areas. The skills we are focused on include innovative and effective talent acquisition strategies, attendance and leave management, health and safety initiatives, learning and development, staff engagement, recognition and retention strategies, HR technology and payroll.
You will work collaboratively with directors, managers, union representatives and other staff across the organization. This position reports to the Senior Director of People and Culture and is a member of the Leadership Team.

What we are looking for?

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Extensive experience processing Ontario-based payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including ROEs, T4s, and year-end reconciliation.
Solid knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), Ontario Human Rights Code, and labour relations frameworks applicable to unionized workplaces.
Experience supporting or leading payroll and HR functions in a non-profit and unionized setting.
Familiarity with collective agreement administration, including wage grid placement, step progression, and union dues remittance.
Skills & Competencies:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll and HR data processing.
Excellent knowledge of payroll compliance, including statutory holiday pay, vacation entitlements, WSIB reporting, and benefits coordination.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply collective agreement language to payroll and HR practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, employee-centered approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience generating HR and payroll reports.
Discreet and professional when handling confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, mission-driven work environment.
Enjoys a values-driven, not-for-profit environment and demonstrated commitment to principles of social justice, equity and inclusion.
