About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Recovery and Renewal Planning Director, the Manager for Workforce Planning and Mobilization will be part of the Recovery and Renewal planning team. The manager plays an active role in maintaining the understanding of the resources available within the Public Health program to ensure Public Health COVID response is appropriately resourced. The manager will use this information to generate reports regularly, make recommendations about workforce management based on resource supply, workforce modeling tools, collective agreements, evaluation information, and other relevant information. The manager frequently liaises with the Provincial Public Health Leadership Team and team managers to support staff mobilization.

The manager also actively works with Public Health Foundations team to maintain and update workforce modelling tools to ensure congruence with current response and use the tools to inform Public Health emergency preparedness planning. The manager is involved in implementation of the Public Health Recovery and Renewal plan and supporting the transition of the provincial COVID teams devolution once pandemic response can be stood down.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree Health promotion, community development, health care administration, or related field
  • Master's Degree in related fields, would be considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years related experience in Health Care planning, delivery or management
  • Specific knowledge and experience in planning and evaluation would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of change management philosophy and practice and how this applies in a pandemic environment
  • Knowledge of Public Health focus areas and programs
  • Knowledge and experience with working in unionized environments with collective agreements
  • Experience is use of communication tools and resources through Sharepoint, SMARTSheets and shared drives

  • Strong Communication and Conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (particularly excel) and Communication Tools
  • Experience is use of communication tools and resources through Sharepoint, SMARTSheets and shared drives
  • Foster culture of respect & safe team environment, supporting a Just Culture
  • Demonstrate Public Health values & health equity
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Long Assignment, Full Time: 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$40.27 - $53.50 Hourly
