WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?




As the Manager, FSS Onboarding within Operations Process Engineering (OPE), you will be responsible for leading and implementing onboarding initiatives related to new or existing products and processes that impact Finance Shared Services (FSS). The incumbent will partner with Finance, Business and Operations to understand the requirements and design/ re-engineer optimal processes, collaborate with TEO Automation Teams and subject matter experts to implement necessary solutions, and provide training to FSS operators to land the processes in FSS Pillars - which include Global Reconciliation Services, Accounting Services, Finance Application Services and Reporting Shared Services. . This position is also responsible for establishing strong and trusted relationship with stakeholders as the client facing team of FSS.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?



Lead onboarding initiatives of varying nature, complexity and scale. Coordinate with stakeholders in Finance, Business, Operations and FSS Pillars to ensure efficient and smooth transition of finance operations into FSS Represent FSS as a subject matter expert on new product implementation projects at RBC. Work with Business and Finance to define financial processes. Be the voice of FSS to provide requirements (e.g. reporting) to enable effective and efficient journal entry and/or reconciliation processes Build partnerships with stakeholders in Finance, Business, Operations, IT, and FSS teams, to develop a pipeline of onboarding initiatives and enable efficient and smooth implementation Develop a deep understanding of existing financial processes in assigned onboarding initiatives. Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, streamline processes with process efficiency, controls and end user experience mindset Collaborate with Automation teams to automate processes in assigned initiatives where possible. Articulate clear requirements, participate in solution design, and test product against requirements. Foster a strong commitment to teamwork and cooperation Document processes in process maps and standard operating procedures, provide training and process shadowing, and arrange necessary accesses (e.g. systems, reports, etc.) to implement initiatives in BAU

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?




Must have:



5+ years of experience in Financial Services. Experience in RBC Finance and Operations is a strong asset. 5+ years of experience business analysis, process mapping and optimization 3+ years of project management experience. Ability to develop and move projects forward with independence and autonomy Strong financial process knowledge, including GL reconciliation, attestation and journal entry processing Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking

Nice-to-have

Strong leadership skills, goal-orientated, and self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills Previous experience in relate field is desired Strong communication skills
