The Medicine Unit at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray has a rare opportunity for an individual to provide guidance as a Unit Manger. The team is looking for a manager who can support them in their continued growth to provide exceptional patient and family centred care. You can develop a team dedicated to the health and wellness of the patient and support to the loved ones through their journey to recovery. You desire to create a positive work environment and a space of healing. In your planning, you can foresee the needs of the unit as you work to optimize the resources. Your communications skills are used to build and foster relationships with the multidisciplinary team, key stakeholders, volunteers, staff, patients, and families. You guide and mentor the staff in evidence-based practices and the AHS Values in their daily task and the care provided. Located in beautiful Fort McMurray which resides on Treaty 8 territory and on the traditional lands of the Metis. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited health related program and registration with the applicable governing body. Current CPR (BCLS-HCP). Minimum 3 years within the last five years of experience in specialty area of medical/acute care or emergency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a health-related discipline. Previous management or leadership experience. Change management training such as AIW (Alberta Improvement Way) or equivalent Quality Improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma) training. Minimum of 2 years in a similar leadership role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Experience using Connect Care.
