  • Develop, maintain and administer a sound business and organizational plan for the property's food and beverage operations;
  • Forecast, analyze, implement, control and report on the various outlet budgets and their components (labour costs, food costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality customer service and to meet financial targets;
  • Implement company programs and manage the operations of the Atrium and any other food and beverage outlets as required to ensure compliance with safety regulations and federal, provincial and local regulations to ensure an optimal level of service, quality and hospitality are provided to the customers;
  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects;
  • Create, recommend and implement promotional displays, buffet presentations and ideas to attract in-house customers;
  • Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the various outlet areas and equipment to protect assets, and to comply with all safety and sanitation policies and procedures;
  • Create and implement all policies and procedures pertaining to food services;
  • Recruit, hire and integrate new employees;
  • Lead the annual Performance Appraisal Review of all atrium staff;
  • Evaluate and resolve conflicts with open communication and recommend disciplinary measures when necessary;
  • Develop strong teamwork within the atrium team;
  • Provide ongoing training, motivation for their growth by recommending courses or development opportunities;
  • Ensure the highest standards for food and beverage services;
  • Collaborate with the Atriums Executive Chef in the creation and pricing of menus for day-to-day service and catering events;
  • Coordinate all Atrium events (cocktails, galas, parties and catering) between organizers, internal and external vendors as well as with the atrium staff;
  • Ensure that catering orders are received on time and that they are properly filled out;
  • Ensure that cash management and daily deposits are executed properly and provide relief when necessary.
  • Other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in a food service environment;
  • College degree (DEC, technical diploma, community college diploma);
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English;
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented;
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills;
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Gmail (Google+);
  • Supervisory, coaching and staff development experience necessary;
  • Culinary/hospitality/management training preferred;
  • Purchasing and costing experience;
  • Strong business aptitude ;
  • Sense of urgency and prioritization.
