St. Joseph's General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is a Centre of Excellence and was founded on the rich history and legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph, who built and administered the Hospital. SJGHEL is a 55-bed hospital with three satellite offices. It is the largest corporation in 3.5-hour corridor between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, Ontario that provides; Obstetrical Services, Intensive Care, Surgical Services, Specialist Clinics, Addictions Treatment Services, CT Scanning, Dialysis Services, and Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes Education and Care. We also provide the largest Satellite Oncology Program with over 500 visits annually.
Summary
SJGHEL is seeking a
Manager,
Financial Services,
to join our leadership team. The Manager will work in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer/ VP of Finance and Corporate Services to assess the needs and operations of the Business Office which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
In this role you will wield your expertise and apply your hands on knowledge in financial reporting and internal controls to ensure our hospital remains compliant with Ministry of Health reporting and Public Sector Accounting Standards. You will be the mastermind behind the scenes, developing and coordinating the preparation of our annual corporate operating and capital budget in collaboration with your team. The individual will promote the integration of technologies in an effective way to enhance the departments support of the organization.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in business or related field, and a Financial Accounting Designation (or working towards it) is preferred. The successful candidate must also have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience including three (3) to four (4) years' experience in the Not-for-Profit industry (healthcare preferred). Leadership or management experience is also preferred.
