About the role: Are you a master modeler? An excel wizard? If you’ve answered yes to all of the above, we want to hear from you! We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a proven track record of crafting accurate and complex financial models, a strong drive for accuracy in reporting and analysis, and a curiosity for improving processes. This position will report to the Director of Finance and have responsibility for supporting all parts of our budgeting process, management reporting, as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis functions. What you’ll do:

  • Rebuild and upkeep the company’s main financial model
  • M&A support as required
  • The creation of models to evaluate strategic planning and decision-making, including funding structure alternatives and other initiatives
  • Annual budgeting and ongoing reforecasting process
  • Detailed month end variance analysis, complete with commentary and recommendations, including the production of timely and accurate KPI reports with clear, concise, and meaningful analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of Board reporting packages as well as Investor and Lender decks
  • Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Superior Excel skills required, including experience with detailed financial modelling (complex formulas, advanced functions, tables/pivot tables)
  • CPA designation (CFA/CBV designation is an asset)
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in financial services including M&A, transaction services or audit
  • Initiative and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance to meet corporate and team objectives
  • Solid two-way communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
  • Experience with accounting systems will be considered an asset
