As a Finance Manager, you\'ll be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business along with all decision support analytics, new product modeling, market assessments, FP&A processes, Cash Flow performance, and strategic leadership. The role will act as the primary business partner to the Pharmaceuticals Business Unit Leader of Canada. This role reports to the Director of Finance of US and Canada Pharmaceuticals.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Direct the analysis and reporting of financial statements, explaining trends, variance to budget, forecast, and prior year for management reporting, with external market and financial analytics and analysis to support day-to-day commercial execution
  • Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic plan
  • Active management of BD and new product launch support initiatives over the LRP horizon
  • Finance lead for customer, tender, and vendor deal management analytics, modeling, and approvals
  • Lead Canadian Compounding profitability improvement efforts by partnering with cross-regional Compounding leadership and teams
  • Understand relevant business risks, perform appropriate risk assessment, and recommend mitigation plans
  • Drive compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC requirements, and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures for all related entities and operations

What you\'ll bring

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications with 5+ years of experience with demonstrated ability to build and lead teams.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and tax and legal accounting.
  • Skilled at working with cross-regional team members and cross-functional teams.
