The Manager, Entertainment Partnerships is responsible for leading the ideation and execution of all Entertainment Partnership strategies for World Vision Canada in support of key organizational objectives.

Acts as chief Subject Matter Expert leading the team which supports all local and national entertainment partnerships and experiences as well as relationship management and engagement opportunities for partners, celebrity influencers, and artists.

Responsible to develop, monitor and execute project plans, oversee operations, lead budget forecasting and monitoring, manage entertainment event & activations schedules, and complete key operational reports to support the achievement of WVC objectives, goals and KPIs.

Works collaboratively with internal teams such as Segment Execution Agile Teams (SEATs), Advocacy, Philanthropy, and other stakeholders across the organization, to drive collaboration in support of the successful delivery and management of World Vision Canada partnerships within the entertainment space to achieve shared objectives.

Works closely with the Director, Experiential Marketing Channels to continuously build, improve, and grow Centre of Excellence capacity and capabilities, implementing strategies, procedures, communications, and systems that support the day-to-day work of our Subject Matter Experts as well as how we collaborate with other internal cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the overall Experiential Marketing Team strategy by delivering and managing best in class partnerships with entertainment and sports franchises, celebrity influencers, and artists to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Operate as a strategic entertainment subject matter expert across the organization, pitching partnership ideas and activity to internal stakeholders that best support objectives, KPI's, and revenue goals, all in alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Lead the execution of the entertainment partnerships strategy, delivering partnerships engaging experiences, and activations in sports and entertainment that inspire Canadians toward generosity in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and third-party vendors.
  • Lead and coach execution teams ensuring all partnerships and experiences achieve objectives, are supported by industry standard and relevant Key Performance Indicators and are successfully executed with the highest standard of brand and industry quality by providing day-to-day leadership, training, and direction for direct reports.
  • Champion and ensure excellence in how all external audiences, partners, artists, and celebrity influencers engage with World Vision Canada ensuring that all interactions, communications, and experiences result in a positive, best-in-class engagement experience.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies, third-party vendors, and external partnership teams to ensure adherence to World Vision Canada policies, brand, vision, and strategy.
  • Own and maintain an active calendar of sports seasons, concerts, tours, and live entertainment events to share and leverage with stakeholders
  • Research and implement industry trends and best practices in the entertainment industry and recommends opportunities for growth, expansion, efficiencies, and effectiveness of market presence.
Qualifications required:
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Entertainment Management or Business.
  • 7+ years of proven corporate entertainment and/or talent management experience.
  • Highly experienced in marketing, corporate partnerships, entertainment management, and relationship management.
  • Experience in fundraising and working in the charitable sector.
  • Knowledge of organizational development, business effectiveness, and operations management.
  • Experience in strategy development, industry forecasting and management of budgets and KPIs.
  • Advanced communication and project management skills.
  • Knowledge in the execution of marketing and/or fundraising events with a proven track record of creating and producing best-in-class audience and group experiences.
  • Demonstrated agility and ability to problem-solve, pivot, and manage ongoing change in a fast-paced industry and work environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team through honesty, confidence, commitment and creativity.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile principles considered an asset.
