Edmonton Zone Continuing Care provides services through five main program areas: Home Living, Supportive Living, Facility Living, Transition Services and Palliative Care The Project Manager will work with a high degree of independence and will develop, conceptualize, organize and manage Continuing Care projects / initiatives. The role of the CC Project Manager is to ensure that projects / initiatives are aligned to zone and provincial strategic targets and designed in a way that ensures desired outcomes are achieved. The successful candidate will: lead in various project teams and in the development of creative solutions for service delivery improvement in a complex environment and contribute to strategic planning and systematic evaluation of zone and provincial programs and services. ;ensure that change management principles, communication plans and stakeholder engagement initiatives are incorporated into project plans appropriately; and manage project resources effectively and implement risk mitigation strategies in a timely fashion and provide status updates to Senior Management. The CC Project Manager will have a key role in stakeholder relations and in planning and organizing the activities of the portfolio / Zone. The Project Manager will also manage the scope of process improvement initiatives and align project outcomes with the corporate priorities and goals and evolving Site, Program, Zone and provincial needs / issues. The CC Program Manager will contribute to strategic planning, business case development, system design, change management, and systematic evaluation of programs and services within the Continuing Care portfolio in the Edmonton Zone.

It will include supporting and ensuring the alignment of performance, funding and change management resources. The Continuing Care Project Manager will have a key role in stakeholder relations, planning and organizing the activities of the portfolio/Zone.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in a healthcare profession, healthcare management or business administration. Masters preferred. Minimum five to seven years in health care management and I or expertise in project management preferred. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Successful leadership experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change in previous project management, process improvement projects. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships in with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills client/ patient focused and commitment to providing quality services. Experience in coordinating improvement projects or teams, complex data analysis and/or interpretation, evaluation methodologies, developing formal reports and presenting to stake holders. Knowledge of health performance/utilization data. Advanced technical skills working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project).
