Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Adult Rehabilitation, this Patient Care Manager position currently has Stroke program including Unit and Clinics associated. Electromylegraphy ( EMG ) and Peripheral Nerve Clinic programs along with being site liaison with provincial staffing services. With programmatic responsibilities, nursing staff are direct reports.

Description:

Accountable for ensuring a high functional multidisciplinary team providing tertiary level rehabilitation services. Works in a dyad relationship with the physician lead for the stroke program at the site with a span of control of about 50 staff. Responsible for scheduling, performance management, budget accountability and program development. Integrated with the Stroke Program for the Edmonton Zone which achieved distinction with Accreditation Canada, requires ongoing maintenance and data collection and review. Provides coverage for other Patient Care Managers across the Glenrose campus and is part of the Manager on call roster.

Required Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with current registration with CNRA. BScN required. Must have a minimum of five years leadership experience, with clinical background in tertiary rehabilitation an asset. Must have exemplary organizational skills, strong communication skills both verbal and written. Solid skills in problem solving and project management key. Flexibility needs to take on projects and other work as required
