As a Distribution Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the warehouse by implementing departmental objectives that meet the company's strategic, competitive, and internal needs while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

As the Distribution Manager you will:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, warehouse staff and support personnel to promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety across all levels of the distribution team.
Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and reviewing variances through financial P&L statements to manage operational costs, and to implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or efficiencies.
Oversee daily distribution operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DC and Team member productivity, inventory accuracy, order & product quality, product returns, etc.
Manage and control inventory allocation to ensure inventory capacity available to accommodate product inflow demand based on sales and stock level procurement.
Ensure the Distribution Centre operates in compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations, and to complete all required safety audits and investigations required.
Ensure proper maintenance of the facilities and equipment to maintain warehouse productivity, safety, and efficiency.
Ensure clear communication between the warehouse and other operating departments, including stores to address any service issues or complaints, and to understand customer requirements in order to adjust operations accordingly.
Identify areas for operational improvements and implement lean or six sigma methodologies to drive efficiencies.
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
Strong background in logistics, operations management, and leadership.
3-5 years of experience managing and leading teams in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution environment.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams, with strong conflict resolution and performance management skills.
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems software, and Microsoft Office reporting software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and route optimization tools.
Experience with Profit and Loss (P&L) statements an asset.
High School diploma; post-secondary education preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in using data to drive operational improvements.
Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable with flexible work schedules to meet the requirements of the operation.
Ability to be on call 24/7 for emergencies.
