Job Summary You will play a key role for the organization by making technology and data recommendations to GRMI senior directors, Valuation and Portfolio Actuarial staff, Model Development, QA and Process Improvement teams, and RBC IT.   • Financial Reporting (in Tableau)
  • assist Financial Reporting team with reporting deliverables by developing and maintaining tableau dashboards
  • partner with Finance and Information Technology team to maintain reporting platform (Trino)
  • perform UAT/ PIV testing on sub-ledger data as needed to ensure data fields are correctly calculated in Trino
  • Ensure secure server access for GRMI.
  • data stewardship for servers for the valuation models, ensuring that appropriate access controls are in place
  • ensure that periodic monitoring of user permissions takes place (at least once per fiscal year), to ensure only authorized individuals have been granted appropriate access permissions to department systems and data
  • Oversee, co-ordinate and monitor department computer resources.
  • liaise with Information Technology department for valuation model environment management, including valuation actuarial LAN and SAN resources and Axis GridLink server farms
  • assist with resolving LAN, SAN and server problems when services are unexpectedly stressed or interrupted (server crashes, shrinkage of disk free-space)
  • arrange for deployment of new releases of actuarial software; including, but not limited to, Moody(GGY) applications Axis, GridLink, and EnterpriseLink
  • Process Improvement
  • identify opportunities for process improvement focusing on end-to-end data and technology infrastructure, develop relevant tools as needed
  • streamline and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and control
  • Insurance Projects
  • liaise with Information Technology departments as the key representative from GRMI during the early stages of the program/project development lifecycle insurance systems
  • provide guidance and support if required to the Portfolio Managers and Model Development Manager for gathering requirements, testing, and post-implementation validation
  • Other duties as assigned
What do you need to succeed?Must-have:
  • 5+ year relevant experience in financial domain
  • Strong technical and problem solving skills. Tableau skill is a must
  • Self-starter and good time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Science and willing to learn new technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with all xe2x80x9ckey relationshipsxe2x80x9d noted in that section and to work effectively as part of a team
