This role is crucial in supporting the department\'s vision and objectives under the guidance of the Director, focusing on strategic vendor partnerships, innovation through database design and implementation and supporting the organization\'s data needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Work closely with the Director to align data needs and database strategies with departmental goals, fostering innovation and efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of professionals in developing and implementing effective database management processes that support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Engage in cross-departmental collaborations to streamline processes, sharing best practices and contributing to a user-focused digital future.
  • Resource Management: Oversee human and financial resources, ensuring a diverse, healthy, and respectful workplace while championing fiscal responsibility.
Who We are Looking For
  • Degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification. Equivalencies will be considered. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application.
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership to design and architecture to meet client needs, preferably within a digital transformation context.
  • Ability to foster strong collaborative relationships, both internally and with external stakeholders, to drive the department\'s digital transformation agenda.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and performance excellence in data needs and trends, database management and vendor management practices.
  • Servant leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, aligning team efforts with departmental and governmental digital transformation goals.
  • Strong commitment to customer service excellence, teamwork, and collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and to explain complex database concepts to non-technical personnel.
