ABOUT THE ROLE At FTC, our websites \xe2\x80\x94 canadiantrainvacations.com, northernlightscanada.com and freshtracks.com \xe2\x80\x94 are the heartbeat of everything we do. We are looking for an Email Marketing and Database Manager with a proven track record to help create a world class customer communications experience through the Email Marketing channel. You will leverage your expert industry knowledge of Email Marketing to identify areas of opportunity, replicate best in class tactics to elevate an already exceptional strategy, and translate tactical data into actionable insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns across all our properties
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication with customers via email to minimize unsubscribes
  • Analyze campaign performance, recommend improvements and implement learning
  • Report on sales revenue generated from email marketing efforts
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices
  • Communications execution \xe2\x80\x93 messaging to consumers across the consumer lifecycle
  • Marketing analytics \xe2\x80\x93 consumer segmentation and analysis to facilitate personalized communications and precision targeting
  • Campaign reporting \xe2\x80\x93 automated, standardized reporting to measure operational, response, and outcomes to evaluate tests in market and adjust rapidly if/when needed
  • Resolve problems with diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial
  • Advise senior leadership in development of functional strategies
  • Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of email marketing and lifecycle programs and campaigns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments including Marketing, Sales, Product and Finance
  • Utilize marketing automation tools (Marketo) and CRM (Salesforce) systems to segment and personalize email communications based on customer behaviour, preferences and demographics
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices (CASL, GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.) and data privacy laws
REQUIREMENTS
  • 7+ years of experience in an email marketing role focusing on database management, writing email briefs, analyzing results and acting on the performance of email marketing campaigns
  • 5+ years of experience working with the Marketo email platform
  • Poses a strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, segmentation, A/B Testing, IP reputation and campaign analysis
  • 5 or more years of experience in driving data strategy that enables the optimization of omni-channel media marketing campaigns, reporting, and analytics
  • Experience with marketing performance measurement data through the use of tools such as Adobe Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics, and/or Google Analytics
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems
  • Proficiency in marketing automation technology
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills

  • This role will be remote based in Calgary, but will travel to Vancouver frequently throughout the year
