We are seeking an experienced Manager of Culture and Engagement to join our growing People & Culture team. This is a one of a kind opportunity to create and drive an integrated culture and engagement strategy, focused on engaging, aligning and inspiring our employees, whilst ensuring alignment with our strategic vision, business objectives and corporate priorities.
In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s Culture & Engagement strategy including human resources initiatives in the areas of Organizational Development, Culture and Engagement, Onboarding, Learning and Development, Job Progression and Performance Effectiveness, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility (IDEA), and Employee Learning and Development.
The ideal candidate will be a creative HR professional, capable of leading company-wide change initiatives aimed at supporting engagement and our culture journey.
Leading a small team of People & Culture professionals, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and leading initiatives, forums and programs on employee retention and engagement, ensuring the evaluation and measurement of programs is based on evolving business needs and talent management changes;
  • Planning, developing and implementing IDEA strategies and ensuring they are embedded in organizational strategy, planning and commitments; making recommendation to executives on community engagement and social responsibility;
  • The ongoing development and implementation of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s Leadership Development Program and a multi-faceted performance effectiveness strategy that supports evidence based and competency based skills development, growth and performance;
  • Developing and overseeing the organization\xe2\x80\x99s learning and development strategy that prioritizes a strong employee value proposition, including unique onboarding programs suitable to each area of the organization, timely learning opportunities tied to employee lifecycle and journey, tuition support programs, and other initiatives for personal and professional growth for all staff.
We are seeking someone with the innate ability to drive organizational change and develop solutions to complex organizational problems, while keeping our employees front and centre in everything we do.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need:
  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources plus a minimum of five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 progressive and/or senior experience in human resources in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • CHRP or working towards HR certification is considered an asset
  • Innate ability to build effective working relationships with mid to senior level leaders, based on trust, transparency and collaboration
  • Knowledge of organizational design, development, change management models and best practices in large, complex and union environments
  • Knowledge of human resources rules, regulations, policies, procedures and collective agreement provisions related to the work performed
  • Ability to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of operational and strategic change management and human resources programs.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable in leading, executing and making recommendations

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is roughly 3 to 5 years.
To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration. E-Comm offers a competitive salary of between $113,786 to $126,429 and an excellent benefits package. This position is based in Vancouver with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements.
