We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to provide support and direction for a team of Contract Managers who manage complex international contracts and international trade programs for a wide range of Canadian exporters of goods and services to foreign governments and international agencies. This pivotal role, reporting to the Director, Contract Management, will drive the strategic oversight, issues management and execution of our International Prime Contract portfolio, ensuring performance, contract compliance, efficiency, reporting and alignment with our program objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, managing complex contracts, vendor or subcontractor management ideally within the aerospace, infrastructure or advanced manufacturing sectors and have experience in applying these skills in an international context.
What you'll be doing
Operational Planning and Reporting
Provide input into departmental budget and operational / business plans
Track and report on results against plan, including presentations and written documents
Provide input into policy and procedures development
People Management
Provide day-to-day oversight of a team of contract management professionals including delegation of files and review of work, mentoring and coaching, resolution of escalated issues
Serve as a subject matter expert to team members on complex contracting and related financial management, risk management and business development
Service Delivery and Stakeholder Relationship Management
Serve as a subject matter expert to colleagues across the organization on complex contracting and related financial management
Serve as a subject matter expert to exporters and buyers to support resolution of complex contracting issues
Serve as CCC's representative at exporter/buyer negotiations to provide technical expertise to the parties
Build relationships with key stakeholders to enable business development including Canadian governments, business and industry representatives, companies and international stakeholders
What you'll bring to CCC
Completion of a post-secondary education in commerce or business administration
Minimum of 8 years of experience in contracting and financial management
Knowledge in program, operational and financial planning
Knowledge, skills, and experience in establishing and developing plans, services, programs, policies, and processes including evaluation and continuous improvement
Knowledge of contract management practices in a domestic and international context which includes international law and contracting practices
Knowledge, skills, and experience in partnership and stakeholder relations management including business development
Knowledge of relevant economic, political, legal, cultural, and social contexts of partners and stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, regulations, and guidelines
Bilingual in both official languages (English and French) is required
