What You'll Do
Maintenance Management:

  • Plan and schedule regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Manage maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Budgeting and Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the facilities budget.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures.
Space Utilization and Planning:
  • Optimize the use of space within the facilities.
  • Coordinate office moves and renovations as needed.
Health and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Implement emergency procedures and conduct regular drills.
Vendor and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance.
Energy and Environmental Management:
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
Collaborator Communication:
  • Act as a point of contact for building-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with collaborators, including employees, management, and external partners.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related area of study or equivalent work experience
  • Proven proficiency in real estate management, particularly in the Canadian market, with at least 7 years of applicable experience
  • Coordinate and lead all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
  • Experience in leading development and implementation of real estate strategies for our Canadian portfolio
  • Professional certification in real estate management is an asset.

  • Engage with customers to assess real estate demands and devise strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Ability to successfully implement real estate projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrates big picture understanding of business, interrelationships, priorities
  • Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
  • May require some out-of-hours work to deal with emergencies or maintenance tasks.
