On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Manager, Business Services to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.Reporting to the Director, Business Services, the Manager, Business Services is responsible for building relationships with members to provide a full array of business products and services. Through managing a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts, the incumbent examines, evaluates, authorizes or recommends approval of commercial and public sector applications for credit. The incumbent supervises an assigned team of Account Managers and other positions in the Business Services Department, providing coaching, direction, mentoring and overall leadership to their team. They are also responsible for evaluating, authorizing and recommending approval of business and public sector applications for lending and deposit services. The incumbent will also provide backup for other teams when required.Key Result Areas:Members - Deliver consistent, exceptional & timely member experiences.People - Foster an inclusive environment that empowers and engages the diverse & innovative team.Community - Grow the organizations impact in communities across Nova Scotia.Financial - Build the financial strength to take advantage of strategic opportunities & manage risks.As the ideal candidate, you will have successfully completed a Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or Commerce plus have six to nine years relevant experience (including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience) in business lending at a financial institution. An equivalent combination of training and experience in credit management will also be considered. Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach, delegate and foster a team environment is required. Knowledge of financial principles, policies and regulatory environment will be key to success in this role. Monitoring and compliance experience to recognize and reduce risk is essential. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. Customer service and strategic results oriented, you possess strong knowledge of the products and services available and have proven business development and sales skills.Employment Conditions:
