In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. Description:
This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership, and coordination of activities of the organizational team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the Emergency, Acute, and Seniors Health care at the site and in the community. This includes the coordination of health services as they relate to the operations within the community hospital, supportive living, and home care services including partnerships with supportive living and other partners such as lodges in the community. Direction is provided in support of the vision, mission and the business plan of Alberta Health Services. Responsibilities include making key decisions regarding the integration of resources to ensure effective delivery of health services within the hospital/facility and community. The Manager - Site and Seniors Health, will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide leadership to the operations of the Hospital and Seniors Health within the North Zone. The Manager is also responsible for: Fiscal Management of the designated services and programs; Collaborating and coordinating with program managers to ensure site services are integrated to provide safe, quality care; Liaising and linking with physicians, Primary Care Network; and the community; Leading and directing staff development and education, incident reporting, quality improvement; interdisciplinary committees, site leadership, and others as needed; Planning, preparing and facilitating accreditation, audits and reviews; Coordinating responses of these reviews for the site to the applicable agency and/or individual; and Participating in planning, capital improvements, renovations, and programing.
