Job Description

Your Opportunity:

SCNs are engines of innovation reshaping health care in Alberta by focusing on what patients need, supporting local examples of high quality care and spreading it provincially, and using scientific evidence to guide care decisions. Through this, the SCNs aim to improve the patient experience and health outcomes, while progressively contributing to creating a high performing health system in Alberta. SCNs are not designed to be 'top-down' structures that simply implement programs and projects. Instead, SCNs proactively engage key stakeholders to support innovation and improvement in health and health care aligned with needs and opportunities identified by the frontline and patients and families. Specifically, SCN's aim to align, support, and empower teams of clinicians, strategy and policy leaders, operational leaders, researchers, patients and families, and other important community leaders and stakeholders with the appropriate tools, accountability, responsibility and authority for shared clinical, strategic and tactical decision-making in AHS. The breadth and depth of the SCN membership is extensive including physicians, clinicians, patients and families, external partners such as Universities, Alberta Health, Alberta Innovates, non-governmental organizations, etc. As a network, evidence-informed, sustainable, and safe health care is our collective goal.
