THE POSITION:

The Manager, Advocacy & Public Relations, is accountable for the day-to-day execution of the critical business functions of the advocacy and public relations group in Canada. The contribution of the role to EVERSANA is to help ensure client delight through the support and delivery of communications and advocacy campaigns with measurable results. The position is an 8-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:

  • Developing a range of clearly written, concise and compelling communication materials and content, including media materials (media releases, etc.), newsletters, reports, educational resources, and advocacy tools.
  • Developing content for social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) and executing social media campaigns that drives advocacy engagement and action.
  • Coordinating and undertaking targeted media relations campaigns to support advocacy efforts, including media list development, securing and setting up interviews, media monitoring and coverage reporting.
  • Participating in advocacy stakeholder research and engagement, including identification and outreach to relevant stakeholder organizations, and providing communications and advocacy support to groups and individuals.
  • Working cross-functionally with market research, data & analytics, consulting, agency, and other EVERSANA services as appropriate to support above.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
  • Education - A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. public relations, communications, public affairs
  • Experience and/or Training - Minimum 3-5 years related work experience (may include internships of up to 1 year); PR agency experience essential. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong English language oral and written communication skills
  • Licenses/Certificates - None
  • Technology/Equipment - Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Experience with social media content development and community management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education - A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. public relations, communications, public affairs.
  • Experience and/or Training - Minimum 4-5 years related work experience (may include internships of up to 1 year); PR agency experience essential. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong English language oral and written communication skills. Healthcare sector communications experience, including hospital, industry, and non-profit settings. Experience with social media content development and community management.
  • Licenses/Certificates - None
  • Technology/Equipment - Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Experience with media monitoring services and media results reporting. Ability to use website content management tools (such as WordPress)

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated target base salary for this position is $75,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of Canada. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
