The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Collections, the Manager, AR- Collections is an expert at delivering on collections strategy and a skilled engager at all levels internally and externally ensuring consistent delivery on large portfolio cash collection targets. The candidate explicitly understands the Order to Cash function and brings all their energy to work with their Order to Cash stakeholders, driving best in class process automation and practice to the AR function. You Are Good At:

  • Assist leader and peers in developing a collection strategy.
  • Accountable or leading a large team to deliver on best-in-class collection processes, including driving process automation and related practices, to meet/exceed cash collection targets.
  • Implementing quarterly cash targets and lessons learned processes to effectively deliver on departmental and corporate KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, while maintaining bad debt expense and write offs within best-in-class metrics.
  • Accountable to ensure the ELT issues reports delivers the right information to resolve account issues.
  • Responsible for proactively partnering with Sr. Stakeholders to resolve large business account disputes requiring corporate support.
  • Accountable for ensuring collections policy and standard operational procedures are maintained and updated to continually align to best-in-class collections strategy.
  • Accountable for delivery on Acquisition integration activities.
  • Partner with the Billing, Sales and other O2C stakeholders to drive best in class A/R practices.
  • Deliver on Acquisition integration plans.
  • Deliver on audit requirements.
  • Partner with the reporting and analytics team to ensure standardized reporting and accurate analytics.
  • Deliver on other projects and initiatives as assigned by your leader to support the A/R strategy.


What It Takes:

Education:
  • CCP Designation
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of successful experience leading teams in a large, fast paced AR environment; Global experience in the software services, or high-tech industry preferred
  • Demonstrated HR acumen to effectively on-board and support the team through all aspects of the team member lifecycle (effective hiring, developing, training, performance managing, rewards, career growth, change management, off boarding)
  • Demonstrated success in B2B collections, as an expert negotiator maintaining large $$ portfolios
  • Demonstrated business acumen in dealing with complex issues across cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated success implementing standardized escalation processes and leading a team to deliver effective negotiation tactics to ensure collection targets are delivered
  • Strong experience with business process analysis and sound working knowledge of project management and change management processes
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent team player, knowing your best is when you collaborate and engage to find solutions to problems
  • Excellent customer service and owner\xe2\x80\x99s mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, specifically with Sales, Legal and External Customers
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of learning and resiliency in a continuously changing environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple priorities
  • Bilingual /Multilingual an asset
