JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: **
Gathering, reporting and interpreting information.
  • Analyzing key financial data and advising senior management on strategic planning.
  • Developing and implementing cost-effective financial policies and procedures, as well as mitigating financial risks.
  • Preparing financial reports and budgets, as well as controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
  • Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
  • Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management accounting.
  • Reconcile spending with budget as part of job costing for projects.
  • Analyze financial performance and forecast longer term horizons.
  • Recommend methods and strategies for cutting cost
  • Advise company and/or department management on financial decisions
  • Use skills to highlight opportunities to maximize revenue or identify gaps in control.
  • Creating financial projections for internal company requirements
  • Providing financial analysis and forecasting
  • Prepare detailed analytical review, investigating variances and providing meaningful commentary to senior management
  • Provide in-depth analysis of labour, rate variances, costs per activity and providing insight thereon
  • Assist GM's / location managers prepare the analysis for their monthly business reviews and provide a trusted business partner relationship
  • Assist with the development of analytical tools to improve information flows to Senior Management
  • Assist with RFP's and M&A process and prepare financial models and board papers as required
  • Provide guidance to the business on capex business cases
  • Business Modelling as required

REQUIREMENTS*
  • Proven experience as management accountant or similar role
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or similar field
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CPA) will be preferred
  • Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
  • Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
  • Analytical mind with aptitude in math
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A problem-solver with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
