Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking a Supervisor - Tactical Security Guard at one of its locations in the Welland, ON area.

The Ideal Candidate must have:

• Full-time availability to work all days of the week and schedules that will consist of days, afternoons and weekend shifts - including holidays.
• Customer service-driven individual
• Clear English communication skills in all areas (verbal and written)
• Detailed and thorough record-keeping (Memo book, incident reports, etc.)
• Keen observation and attentiveness
• Professional physical deportment and presentation
• Able to work as a team member and assist in leading other team members accordingly
• Firm understanding of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code of Canada

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front-line representative of Regal Security
• Assist in maintaining up to date training, while providing motivation and mentoring to contracted site security team while ensuring all staff are meeting company standards
• Provide input to maintain up to date policies, manuals and plans for the site
• Operate Regal patrol vehicle for the purposes of parking patrolling and for vehicle fuel up and maintenance
• Report to Security Manager on site activities, positive interactions and service challenges
• Ensure all site staff are properly trained on site protocols and training documentation is completed
• Evaluate and oversee employee performance and coach as necessary. Reporting any infractions and/or performance issues to the Security Manager
• Review daily and incident reports for compliance with spelling, grammar and details for submission to client and Regal Security
• Develop and maintain a positive professional relationship with tenants, customers, emergency services and other agencies as they relate to the site
• Assist accordingly with building and maintaining the site schedule
• Operate and maintain an organized environment
• Enforce property rules and regulations and Trespass to Property Act in order to maintain the security and safety of our clients and their assets
• Oversee the logging in and out of site equipment
• Actively Monitor CCTV, fire systems, and access control systems
• Respond to all emergency situations (medical, fire, floods etc.)
• Ensure that safety and emergency protocols are completed in response to Fire Alarms and other Site Emergencies
• Complete walking patrols, vehicle patrols, and inspections of facilities and equipment and report any hazards, deficiencies, etc. to ensure safety and security
• Review, know and follow site post orders
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow the facilities health and safety procedures
• Duties as otherwise assigned

Qualifications:

• A proven background with minimum of 2 years security experience in a commercial setting.
• Supervisor experience would be an asset
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Use of Force certification would be an asset
• A University degree and/or College diploma in a relevant field
• Valid Security Licence, Valid First Aid / CPR Certification, & WHMIS Certification.
• Holder of a valid G Driver's License
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong investigation, research, and strategic analytical skills
• Strong administration, project management, and multi-tasking skills
• Adapts well to challenges and works well under pressure
• Computer literacy and proficiency required, with good working skills in Apple products, Microsoft Office, and Google

Compensation:

• Pay rate will be $18.00-$19.00/hr
• Health Benefits are available for full-time employees upon completion of 3 months probation
