Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Plant Maintenance Technician. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will assume the following responsibilities:

Job Duties:

• Performing routine maintenance of the mechanical equipment and building
• Troubleshoot breakdowns as they arise
• Applying preventative measures to the building and equipment to reduce the risk of future problems
• Performing routine maintenance on all plant equipment
• Additional duties as required
• Logging all repairs

Experience/Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical, refrigeration and compressed air systems
• Experience in a food processing plant an asset
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
