Part-time 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, $25/hour

The Wedgewoods of New Discovery, located in Discovery Ridge SW, is a Condominium Corporation comprised of 10 Villas and 568 condos situated in three 5-story buildings.

We are seeking a hard working and physically fit individual to take on the role of

Maintenance Worker

. This position reports to the Property/Maintenance Manager and makes up part of the team that keeps the Wedgewoods running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in using their maintenance knowledge and experience in keeping our buildings well maintained.

The role is 25 hours a week (approximately 5 hours a day, 8am to 1pm, Monday through Friday), with the possibility of additional hours on as needed basis. With an hourly rate of $25/hour.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, cleaning, and landscaping

Assist with monitoring building security during moves

Help with minor common area repairs as requested

Assist with the inspection of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, report any issues to the Property/Maintenance Manager

Conduct regular inspections of common areas, including hallways, entryways, elevator vestibules, stairwells, and parkades, and report any issues to the Property/Maintenance Manager

Assist with general building upkeep and cleanliness

Administrative support as time allows or as needed

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Physically capable to walk the property, including using stairs, on a daily basis regardless of weather

Capable of carrying up to 25 pounds if required

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work well in a team environment

Basic computer skills (Google Suite)

Good communication skills

Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly

Prior experience in building maintenance or related field is an asset
