Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate leadership abilities. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing environment, requiring a blend of mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and customer service skills. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and supervising maintenance activities to uphold safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management. Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed. Perform welding tasks to repair or fabricate components as required. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist in repairs and installations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement in facilities maintenance processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field, with a strong mechanical background. Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a team setting. Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and understanding of electrical systems. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous. Strong welding skills are a plus, along with the ability to read and interpret schematics. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and management. A commitment to safety standards and practices within a manufacturing environment. Customer service orientation with the ability to address concerns professionally and efficiently.
