About the Role


The Maintenance Technician position will maintain all equipment to required standards, be responsive to line calls, provide support for preventative and failure based maintenance as required by the plant needs. Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.
What You'll Do

Works within and promotes established safety standards and practices Troubleshoots mechanical failures Repairs and rebuilds pumps Maintains conveyors and auger systems Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision Recommends changes, modifications or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance Reads equipment drawings and documents Documents work, modifications to equipment, etc. Communicates well both in writing and verbally




What You Bring


A high degree of mechanical competence supported by several years of mechanical experience The candidate must have a strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standards The candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within industrial maintenance Creativity in problem solving is required The candidate should have experience with coupling and coupling alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and welding Good communication skills, and able to work under time constraints Must be adaptable, dependable and a self-starter The candidate shall have good troubleshooting skills with good attention to detail The person shall possess a demonstrated strong work ethic Applicant must have regular, punctual attendance Candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in achieving results

Education and Experience

Previous mechanical experience Will consider Level 1or Level 2 apprentice Millwright
