We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright (433A), or Licensed Electrician (309A/442A) with hands-on experience in food manufacturing, preferably bakery operations. This position will focus on ensuring production equipment is kept in top working order while supporting a strong culture of safety and food quality.
SHIFTS:
Shift Details: - 2 shifts: 4:30 AM - 2 PM or 2 PM - 11 PM, Sunday to Friday *shifts do not rotate, and candidates can choose either days or evenings.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment in line with SOPs, GMPs, and health & safety standards.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to minimize downtime.
Monitor equipment to confirm proper operation and compliance with food safety requirements.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively.
Read, interpret, and apply electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
Support continuous improvement and other related tasks that contribute to food safety and product quality.
What We're Looking For
Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A) with mechanical maintenance knowledge,
or
Certified Millwright (433A) with a background in food or bakery manufacturing.
Previous experience in an industrial bakery or food production environment is required.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with both electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to stay organized, proactive, and work safely within GMP and compliance guidelines.
Welding knowledge and experience working with CMMS systems considered an asset.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents (we are not able to accept open work visa holders at this time).
Minimum 5 years of Canadian work experience in maintenance within food manufacturing.
