Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing apartment turnovers and renovations. This role requires a hands-on individual who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to maintain our high standards of property care.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Maintenance & Repair:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all properties are in excellent condition. This includes troubleshooting and repairing issues related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Renovations & Turnovers:

Execute and assist with full apartment renovations and unit turnovers, including but not limited to:

Painting & Finishing:

Surface preparation, painting, mudding, and finishing work.

Carpentry:

Minor repairs, framing, and general woodwork.

Flooring:

Installation and repair of various flooring types.

Bathroom Renovations:

Installation of tub surrounds and other bathroom fixtures.

Trim & Baseboards:

Installation and finishing.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere to all safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.

Qualifications:

Prior Experience Required:

A minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proven proficiency in a range of skills, including painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

Work Ethic:

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Physical Aptitude:

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Problem-solving:

A strong problem-solving aptitude and a keen attention to detail.

Communication:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Transportation:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
