Job Description

Strong track record at following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

Experienced at following all procedures of creating work orders, record time and activities.

Performed regular minor and major repairs to production equipment and the building.

Familiar and experienced at performing preventative maintenance procedures on equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals etc. repairs or replaces broken parts.

Familiar at completing daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Able to work a 3-week rotation (Day, Afternoon, Evening/Night... see below job description for details).

Maintenance Technician (Perm, FT, 3-week rotation, Days, Afternoons, Night)

2pm-10pm (Monday-Friday)

10pm-6am (Sunday-Thursday)

Pay rate:

$34.17ph

Afternoon premium: $0.75ph

Night premium: $1.00ph

Overtime:

> 40 hours; > 8 hours per day.

ROLE:



Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is responsible for working in the Maintenance Department and safely and effectively repairing, installing, and maintaining production, building and property equipment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers and management.

Adhere to safe work practices, follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.

Participate in computed Maintenance Management Program, following all procedures of creating work orders, record time and activities and provide feedback

Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

Actively participate in and promote our safety culture by following safe work practices and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Responsible for reporting all incidents, accidents and observations of unsafe acts or conditions.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance in relation to production schedule and or time scheduled for.

Performs minor and major repairs to equipment and the building.

Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals etc. repairs or replaces broken parts.

Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures

Operates a computer which controls and monitors mechanical and utility systems

Responds to emergency maintenance requests, as required

Performs outside custodial such as snow removal, as required

May obtain estimates for supplies, repair & order parts as needed

Share and educate junior technical team members of best practices as they relate to mechanical repairs

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Self-starter, with proven time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members in a fast-paced environment

Ability to understand mechanical and electrical systems, functions, components and troubleshoot

Ability to work in different temperature environments

Must be able to work at heights

Must be able to work with power and hand tools

Ability to lift 25 Kg regularly in order to perform all job function requirements

Must be able to document all required information accurately and legible.

Shifts follow a rotation

Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift once training is provided.

Willing to work Overtime when Business needs require

Minimum Education/Experience:



Candidate should have formal technical training or 5 years of equivalent experience to demonstrate mechanical aptitude
