TalentWorld is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client just outside of Newmarket. In this position, you will oversee the mechanical maintenance of the machines and equipment and assist Millwrights to ensure minimal downtime and that all equipment performs to requirements.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring that all safety and control functions are always working properly.
Make necessary changes to current equipment and assist with new equipment installation and commissioning.
Perform troubleshooting of mechanical mechanisms and assemblies
Make all necessary mechanical breakdown repairs within the plant /machinery
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment
Repair, install, and troubleshoot CNC and other various machines and equipment
Able to use hand and power tools, gauging devices, and both electrical and electronic test equipment
Fabrication and installation of safety guards and circuits
Maintenance Technician Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, automotive or highly automated manufacturing environment
Previous experience utilizing PLC\'s, HMI, variable frequency drives, motion control, and CNC equipment
Ability to read and interpret schematics, specifications, and blueprints
Ability to manufacture fixtures & tooling from drawing/blueprints
Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
