Job Overview


We are seeking a Licensed

Maintenance Technician

to join our dynamic maintenance team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting production reliability by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to keep all equipment operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment, along with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. A commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork is essential, as you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Pay rate

starts at $43.50 per hour and weekly shifts timings are flexible.

Responsibilities



Attend to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as mixers, slab formers, horizontal wrappers, robotic pick-and-place systems, tunnel ovens, conveyors, and other production machinery. Identify recurring technical problems, escalate when appropriate, and support implementation of long-term corrective actions. Champion and follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, GMP, and company policies at all times. Provide technical input and use maintenance data to help optimize preventive maintenance programs. Collaborate effectively with external contractors, ensuring all work meets GMP, safety, and quality standards. Complete equipment setups, changeovers, minor repairs, overhauls, and light fabrication as required. Accurately document all work performed, maintain up-to-date maintenance records, track spare parts usage, and keep work areas clean and organized. Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, safety, and care of tools and equipment.

Qualifications



Valid Red Seal Millwright certification 442A or 309D or equivalent credential. About 3 years of experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Technician, or Electrician. Solid knowledge of PLC systems, HMIs, robotics, and industrial controls, preferably Allen Bradley. Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation. Proven experience with power transmission, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic controls, servo motors, welding/brazing/soldering, and lubrication systems. Experience working with equipment such as vertical and horizontal wrappers, robotic pick-and-place systems, and tunnel ovens (considered an asset). Strong machining skills, including operation of lathes, milling machines, and drill presses. Experience with rigging and hoisting.
