Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing processes, ensuring safety standards, and improving overall facility performance.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment; report required maintenance or repairs to the Service Manager. Respond to work orders in a timely manner Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal building performance. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair minor HVAC, electrical and plumbing problems Repair and/or replace door hardware including locks, door closers, and hinges Assist contractors as required Perform scheduled and periodic maintenance requirements including but not limited to filter replacement, lamp replacement, belt replacements, annual inspections, plumbing repairs, etc. Ensure appropriate logs and records are maintained and updated as necessary

Qualifications:

Great problem-solving skills Great customer service skills Valid driver's license and transportation - available to participate in on-call rotation as required Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and automation problems Strong Understanding of commercial building infrastructure including HVAC systems, water systems, electrical/automation systems, fire and life safety systems. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (WHMIS, Lockout & Tag out, fall protection). Strong verbal and written communications skills Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills with an ability to meet deadlines with complete ownership and accountability. Ability to work under pressure and stay calm in emergency situations 2+ years of experience with building maintenance, preferably working in commercial high rise office towers, medical facilities, or apartment buildings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 45 per week
