Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance expertise. A background in welding, knowledge of machining, and manufacturing processes will be considered advantageous. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities, contributing to overall production success.

Duties

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical manuals. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to maintain equipment integrity. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Provide excellent customer service within internal departments by responding promptly to maintenance requests.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge including welding, machining, and equipment repair an asset. Knowledge of facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, and building systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and other departments. Leadership qualities an asset.
