We are looking for full-time, Maintenance Technician seeking long-term employment.

About the Position:

Maintenance Technicians have several categories of responsibilities within the facility. As a Maintenance Technician will have individualized skills accompanying their generalized skills, each Mechanic will be assigned to duties matched with their skillset.



Any acute repairs of machinery will be assessed by a Maintenance Technician when the departments' staff is unable to perform the repair. The assigned Technician will advise the Maintenance Coordinator / Maintenance Manager if outside support is needed. Along with acute repairs, Maintenance Technicians will also perform preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned to minimize equipment downtime.

What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:

Perform Planned Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Break/Fix of industrial production equipment, with ability to quickly diagnose and repair equipment, including: Engines, Motors Pneumatic Control Systems and Tools Conveyor Equipment Hoists and Lift OEM and Internally Modified Production Equipment Heat Sealer Units Punches and Dies Electrical Systems Blending and Deburring Equipment Hydraulic Equipment Fabrication- light fabrication of parts to support on-time repairs/parts replacement Facilities Work- Includes work with Compressed air lines, and Chiller equipment. Working with External Vendors- Ability to host/supervise external resources (third-party and OEM serviced technicians). Reporting/Documentation- Starting and stop times for work through MaintainX Logging parts, and communicating work completed, any irregularities, and status in workorders through MaintainX Follow ISO work instructions as per regulatory requirements Maintenance technicians are encouraged to maintain up to date technical knowledge by: Attending educational workshops Reviewing technical publications Establishing personal networks Other duties may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager as per the needs of the business.

Regulatory Environment/Considerations:

ISO 9001 FSSC (Food Safety) Environment Minimum Experience/Skills Requirements: 5-10 years' experience working with industrial mechanical equipment Solid, logical troubleshooting approach, able to quickly find root cause Be able to work both independently and as a team in a cohesive, cross-functional manner. Attitude must be one of service to the operations we support. Basic Electrical experience (i.e.: ) Changing industrial battery packs coils and valves Disconnecting/connecting motors Commitment to finishing the job on time and on budget: Ability to work overtime is required to independently complete the job. Ability to competently hand off the job to the next shift Willingness to seek support before struggling for too long Ability to be on call at times on off-shifts Must supply own basic tools to start. Sound capability working with technology, to document work in a timely manner (phone/tablet/software) Ability to use hand and power tools and to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to follow work instructions, diagrams, drawings, and schematics

The ideal candidate will possess all of the minimum skills but will also have:

Experience with older industrial processing equipment Direct experience in the printing/extrusion/lamination/converting environment The ability to come up with short-term fixes in emergency situations to keep the production lines running safely and smoothly (particularly on off-shifts) Experience with maintenance software (MaintainX) Welding Experience Strong communication helping to ensure a cohesive and collaborative environment

Communication skills - be able to clearly report issues and problems and provide clear instruction to most quickly repair malfunctions. Team working skills - must work with other maintenance colleagues, but you also need to be able to work cohesively with personnel on the line, upper management and external maintenance to repair systems that require higher level/product specific workmanship.

Schedule:

Flex Life Schedule

12-hour shift, 3 days per week Rotating every 2 weeks days and night (7:00AM to 7:00pm OR 7:00pm to 7:00AM) Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours
16 days off a month

Must be able to reliably commute to work - own transportation.
