Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

Maintenance Technician

with a strong background in the

automotive manufacturing industry

and hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting

injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable machine performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production operations through preventive and corrective maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:




Perform

preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

on

injection molding machines

, robotics, and related production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair

mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

on molding and auxiliary equipment. Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurrence. Support

mold setup teams

by maintaining mold temperature controllers, water lines, and hydraulics. Work with engineering and production teams to improve

machine uptime and performance

. Maintain detailed maintenance logs and update work orders in the

CMMS system

. Follow all

safety, quality, and environmental

regulations in accordance with company and industry standards. Perform

lockout/tagout (LOTO)

and ensure compliance with all safety protocols. Participate in

continuous improvement initiatives

related to equipment performance and energy efficiency. Assist with

machine installations, relocations, and upgrades

as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:




Minimum

3 5 years of maintenance experience

in an

automotive or plastics manufacturing environment

. Proven experience working with

injection molding machines

(e.g., Husky, Engel, KraussMaffei, Arburg, or similar). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of

PLC systems

(Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred) and basic programming familiarity. Experience with

hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and temperature control systems

. Ability to read and interpret

mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams

. Good computer literacy, including maintenance software and MS Office. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. * Physically capable of working in a manufacturing environment (standing, lifting, bending, etc.).
