About the Maintenance Technician Role



Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall organization of the work area, performing general building maintenance of shop floor and recycle/trash areas.

Job Responsibilities



Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical control diagrams to determine the layout of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment installations.

Maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.

Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.

Install, examine, replace or repair receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

PLC Troubleshooting

Understand the use of a multi meter to test for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning and replacing fixtures

Perform carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed

May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

Plan, organize, coordinate and direct services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking lot, safety inspections, security, landscaping, and snow removal.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications



High School Diploma or equivalent.

5 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.

Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
